The
education system in Pakistan has been gone through several reforms and changes
over the years. Pakistan has a number of universities that offer a wide range
of courses and degrees, and some of them are highly ranked globally. However,
there are also issues and challenges in the education system, including a lack
of funding, outdated curriculum and inadequate facilities.
According
to the QS World University Rankings 2022, there are six Pakistani universities
in the top 1000 universities in the world. The highest-ranked Pakistani
university is the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) at
355th place. As per current QS World University Rankings 2023, there are Seven
Pakistani Universities in the top 1000 universities in the world. National
University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) improves its ranking and stand at
334th place among others. However, these rankings are not the only measure of
the quality of education.
It
is also difficult to make a general comparison of the education system in
Pakistan with the rest of the world. There are differences in educational
priorities, resources, and cultural contexts that make direct comparisons
challenging. However, efforts are being made to improve the education system in
Pakistan, and there are many talented and dedicated educators and students who
are working hard to make a positive impact.
